Dundee Bowlers with the other Scottish Champions 2007
Dundee Bowlers capture three Scottish Titles.
The Scottish Disability Sport, National
Carpet Bowls Championships were held at the John Wright Sports Centre in East
Kilbride on Saturday 10 February 2007.
Dundee City Disability Sport bowlers had superb championships winning
three of the eight singles titles. The remaining five individual singles titles
were shared around five branch teams.
Dundee City Disability bowlers dominated the sections for women wheelchair
bowlers, the restricted section for physically disabled women bowlers and
the women's open for players with a learning disability. Tricia Kirk, Angela
Benvie and Christine Fisher were crowned champions of 2007 and rounded off
a fantastic event for the Dundee team.
The Management Committee of Dundee City Disability Sport would like
to congratulate our three Scottish Champions, Tricia, Angela and Christine
and thanks must also go to the Disability Sport Officers and Coaches who have
coached and supported the bowlers throughout the year.
