Scottish players miss out on Boccia title
Three members of Dundee Boccia club attended the Cheshire International Boccia competition, 31st March & 1st April 2007.
Alan McGregor, Kirstin McMaster & Joshua Rowe made up a team representing Scotland in the BC1/BC2 classification. Their first game was against the Great Britain Paralympics squad and despite a tough match the trio played very well. Their next games were against the first team and the second teams from England respectively, these were closely contested matches.
At the end of Saturday 31st March, the trio were through to the play offs for third and fourth place in the event. The team were exhausted and a good nights rest was prescribed.
On Sunday 1st April, the team played the England First team and were narrowly beaten by three points.
The three players from Dundee Boccia club should be extremely proud of their individual and team performances, well done.
