This is a class for pre-school children with Additional Support Needs. It is run on the same format as the Learn to Swim Programme run by the Leisure Centres. These lessons will help the children develop water safety and confidence whilst teaching them how to float, move through the water, basic stroke techniques and breathing skills. The class has the advantage of being small to minimise distraction and maximise learning. Parents are required to go in the water with their child. As the children progress they can enter the School Age Learn to Swim Programme run by the Leisure centres, this can be with support if required. Classes run during term-time only. A holiday programme is usually available during the Easter, Summer and October Holidays, for info please contact Averil Anderson on 438866. |
